This camera has a 4mm fixed lens that provides a 84 degree angle of view. Expect to identify faces up to 40ft in lit conditions, nearly double the distance that a 2MP network camera provides. Nighttime surveillance is no issue with this camera as its high intensity infrared night vision LEDs will allow you to see general detail up to 100ft in complete darkness. This camera is IP67 weatherproof rated, which means it can be installed outside without a need for any additional protection to withstand the outdoor elements such as rain, snow, and wind. This camera also works great for indoor applications for when IR night vision is required. You can use this camera for capturing license plates during the day when vehicles are either parked or moving less than 10 mph within 30ft away. However, for night time license plate capture we recommend a proper license plate security camera. Utilize plug-and-play technology as this camera supports Power Over Ethernet (PoE) to be used with one of our PoE switches or Pro Series PoE NVRs. You can also power the camera directly using a 12VDC security camera power supply. For best compatibility we suggest using with one of our Avalonix Pro Series NVRs.
